MGNREGS fraud: 14 employees suspended

Adilabad: A major fraud, suspected to run into crores of rupees, has rocked the implementation of MNREGS in the district. DC had published a report highlighting the fraud in MGNREGS works a few days ago.     

As many as 14 staff including APO, technical assistants, field assistants, senior mates, computer operators of DWMA have been suspended by the higher-ups following the fraud unearthed in the implementation of the scheme in Boath mandal.

It is said that works digging trenches, planting trees and land development worth Rs 16 crore have done in Boath mandal in 2015-16.
