MGNREGS fraud: 14 employees suspended

According to it, the legislation could also improve recovery rate of asset reconstruction companies (ARCs), which has been low at an average of 36 per cent, with resolution taking about five years.

Adilabad: A major fraud, suspected to run into crores of rupees, has rocked the implementation of MNREGS in the district. DC had published a report highlighting the fraud in MGNREGS works a few days ago.     

As many as 14 staff including APO, technical assistants, field assistants, senior mates, computer operators of DWMA have been suspended by the higher-ups following the fraud unearthed in the implementation of the scheme in Boath mandal.
