Tirupati: Inter-state cops discuss security

Tirupati: In an inter-state border coordination meeting of top police officials of Chittoor, Tirupati, Nellore and Tiruvallur of Tamil Nadu, it was decided that various preventive measures would be implemented to check the smuggling of liquor and curbing the flow of unaccounted money etc., in the run up to the ensuing elections.

Anantapur range DIG Kranti Rana Tata along with Tirupati urban SP K.K.N. Anburajan, Chittoor SP Vikrant Patil, Nellore SP Aishwarya Rasthogi and Tiruvallur SP Ponni and other police officials participated in the meeting held at Tirupati on Friday. DIG Kranti Rana Tata said, “In view of the elections, a strict vigil would be maintained in the villages in the border districts of Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu, which were found to be problematic.”
