Six arrested for excavating temple ground in search of hidden treasure

Kurnool: Kodumuru police arrested six people on Tuesday for excavating temple land in search of hidden treasure. Locals spotted the suspects digging near the Anjaneyaswamy temple on the outskirts of Gorantla village, Kodumuru mandal, and alerted the police.

Sub-inspector K. Srinivasulu said the suspects were arrested and charged with excavating government land near the temple with the intent of finding hidden treasures. He said the suspects are from Krishnagiri, Dhone, and Kodumuru mandals and that an investigation is underway.
