Hyderabad: Guard jailed for rape

Hyderabad:  A 20-year-old security guard, who sexually assaulted a minor after kidnapping her, was convicted by a court on Tuesday.

The court directed the accused to undergo two years of rigorous imprisonment.

A case of kidnapping and also under provisions of the POCSO Act was registered at Kandukur police station in 2017 against Chityala Naresh, 20, a resident of Bathikepally village in Pegadapally mandal of Jagityal district.

Police said that Naresh, who worked as a security guard for a real estate company in Maheshwaram, kidnapped a minor girl on October 4, 2017, promising to marry her.

He took her to his native place where he sexually assaulted her and then brought her back to Kandukur and left her.

Naresh was arrested and remanded to judicial custody. The case was charge-sheeted before the Metropolitan Sessions Judge's Court at LB Nagar, which after conducting the trial convicted the accused on Tuesday and sentenced him to two years rigorous imprisonment.
