Chilakalapudi police raid hotel, seize Sweet boxes with YSRC stickers

Vijayawada: The officials seized sweet boxes sporting YSR Congress stickers readied for distribution among the public in Machilipatnam of Krishna district on Thursday.

According to the reports, the sweet boxes were stored in a hotel and on receiving information about the same, the place was raided.

According to reports, the YSRC readied 27 big sweet boxes, each having 150 small sweet boxes, for distribution. A sticker having written “Vote for YSRC” and “Take Rs 3,000 pension” was put on each of the sweet boxes.

The Chilakalapudi police  said the sweet boxes were readied for distribution during social security pension distribution on March 1, to lure voters towards the party. Police registered a case and began investigation.
