BHOPAL: Madhya Pradesh chief minister Mohan Yadav on Friday announced his plan to generate 2.5 lakh employment over next five years.

Taking salute at the state-level Independence Day parade here, Mr. Yadav said that his government has set a target to create 2.5 lakh jobs in the coming five years.

He said that the government is currently in the process of generating one lakh employment.

Mr. Yadav said that his government planned to double the budget size of the state in the coming four years.

He said that the state has witnessed growth of exports by six percent in the current financial year.

The chief minister said that a target has been set to provide 32 lakh solar pumps to the farmers in the coming three years.

Mr. Yadav said that Madhya Pradesh is the first state in the country to pass and notify the ‘Jan Viswas Bill’ to strengthen the ease of doing business and governance.

Madhya Pradesh also leads the country in implementing ‘Swamitva Yojana’ for rural property ownership.
