HYDERABAD: BJP Medak MP M. Raghunandan Rao attributed the urea shortage in Telangana to the ongoing tensions arising from Operation Sindoor, resulting in delay in supplies from China.

Speaking to TV media, the MP said that India was supposed to receive 50,000 metric tonnes of urea from China, but this shipment has been halted due to the diplomatic friction caused by the operation.

Addressing Telangana’s farming community, Rao urged farmers to remain patient during this challenging period. He also expressed regret to the farming community for the delay and assured them to fulfil the state quota of Urea from the Centre.
