Amid Pakistan Support: Indian Traders Demand Complete Boycott of Turkey

Hyderabad: Indian traders demand a complete boycott of Turkish products amid strained India-Turkey relations due to Turkey's support for Pakistan during India-Pakistan tensions.

The Confederation of All India Traders (CAIT) passed a resolution to boycott all trade and commercial ties with Turkey, including imports, exports, and tourism. CAIT also announced a boycott of Indian films shot in Turkey. Social media campaigns urge people to boycott Turkish products.
Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) canceled its agreement with Turkey’s Inonu University, stating, “JNU stands with the nation” in an X post. Lovely Professional University and Jamia Millia Islamia have suspended all Memoranda of Understanding with Turkish institutions.
Travel platforms, including EaseMyTrip, Cox & Kings, and Ixigo, have halted bookings to Turkey. Indian traders have boycotted Turkish goods, particularly apples, and the Udaipur Marble Association has stopped importing from Turkey.
