Berhampore: Former Berhampore MP and Congress working committee member Adhir Chowdhury will visit Odisha Sambalpur to express his solidarity with tortured migrant workers based in Murshidabad on Sunday January 4. Mr.Chowdhury said " I will arrive at Sona pally, Sambalpur, Odisha on January 4 at 10 am to express my solidarity with tortured migrant workers based in Murshidabad and west Bengal,if situation I will start movement there with the help of local congress leadership,at any cost in the name of Bangladeshi nationals immense torture on innocent migrant workers should be stopped at any cost " He further said that at Sona pally, Sambalpur, Odisha one migrant worker youth named Jewel Rana,a permanent resident of Suti was brutally lynched in the name of Bangladeshi national and several migrant workers also attacked, even another migrant worker also severally injured and they tried to burn him openly, I met the prime minister Narendra Modi recently to stop such barbaric torture on innocent bengali speaking migrant workers based in Murshidabad and west Bengal also mistook them as Bangladeshi nationals in several BJP ruled states particularly in Odisha and others state , but this barbaric attitude and torture not ended so I decided to express my solidarity over them and this oppression should be stopped at any cost " Adhir Chowdhury said. Mr.Kabir said " they sought any type of employment but I have no power, so I requested the local MLA Imani Biswas to look after the matter and also said, sich inhuman torture and murder due to our inactiveness and we kept mum, but now time is come to fight for them and teach lessons both TMC and BJP for their inaction over migrant workers, we will start movement for migrant workers based in Murshidabad also.
