New Delhi: Internet giant Google will soon make travel a lot easier by making its navigation software even smarter.

The new map mode termed as 'Driving Mode' may take into account an individual's current location and will determine the destination. The app is also expected to give you information about the prevailing traffic in the route travelled.

According to the Verge, Google Maps version 9.19, the one with Driving Mode, is not yet available on the Google Play Store.

This will be the first major update for the Google maps in 2016 and also feature audio control and timeline changes.

Currently, Google maps has predictive features when it comes to destinations but it is restricted to already saved labelled addresses like home or office which only appear when one taps the search bar in the app. But the 'smart driving mode' will automatically predict a destination.
