Many recent talks and speeches have been all about influencers, and the way a person is able to impact a certain environment or society. This innovative trend is raging, and has seen quite a shift  like a recent TEDx which saw many techies and entrepreneurs take to the stage to inspire the youth with their stories and ground-breaking approach to solutions in business.

Rakshit Kejriwal, an entrepreneur and a techie from the city took part in this TedX talk a week ago, and shared his experience on stage, and his journey in the start-up business, to inspire others. “There was a very wide range of people who came for the show, some of them wanted to start a business, and some just came to hear our ideas. But, to anyone sitting in that room, I encouraged them to be open to new things and new experiences, irrespective of what goes in life.

I have three mantras to abide by while starting one’s own business and one of the most important, is to be able to adapt to new technology. Understanding and then adapting leverage technology for yourself. So, that your business does not have to be disrupted by tech.”

Techies are in demand when it comes to these talks and Yaagneshwaran Ganesh who is among the top 100 global Martech influencers, author and an active member of the start-up ecosystem was also a part of the recent event held in Bengaluru. After his years of experience with start-ups and tech, he says, “"These kind of events helps build connections between people, sharing unique ideas with each other gives a possibility of knowing that it might really work in reality. In terms of the tech world, there are some technical terms that no one else can explain better than a techie or someone who is experienced in it, so understanding this in depth is required, which such events enable.

It was overwhelming to see the response, as many people came up with different kinds of questions at the end. That's when you know it's a success. My suggestion to all the people who aspire for a career in tech or wanted to start their own business was that they must never resist technology, control the data access and promote augmentation but never resist it.”

While, the crowd gets a lot of inputs from such influential speakers, the curators of the show the TEDx Salon Event called the “Apogee of Technology” also share on how they eliminate and choose the speakers. Varun Singha, an alumnus of BITS, Pilani brings with him close to a decade of experience in the technology space.

An innovator at heart, with an expertise in the cloud domain, he says, “It’s not just about the background of the speakers, but rather the idea that needs to be put forward. We do have a list of people who we shortlist for the speeches but more than anything, the speakers should align with the idea of the

theme of the show, and that’s what matters. Good ideas make good speeches hence good shows.”
