I scream for ice-cream

Many exciting varieties of ice-creams from Turkish, to Italian are now available in Bengaluru.

Ice-creams are a weakness for everyone despite what age you are at….From childhood to old age, this is something everyone craves for. Now the question is — are ice-creams working out for winters? 2018 being the year of innovation, the market is now flooded with various ice-creams from Stoned, Turkish, Italian, Dragon Smoke to Nitrogen and many more… 

Different flavours for different seasons are necessary. Simi Malhotra, head of operations at a popular ice-cream brand, added, “My favorite ice-cream flavors during winter are vanilla and kesar pista, which are classic all time favourites. There are other favourites like dark chocolate, toasted hazelnut and salted caramel. I enjoy cold cones especially during winters.”

It is never too cold for an ice-cream, feels psychologist Diksha Agarwal. She says, “It is my comfort food and in winters ice-creams are the best. With so many different high end brands, you get to enjoy a variety of flavorsome ice-creams any time you want.  The new Turkish trick ice-creams also attract a crowd for social media posts.”  

Ice-creams have always been a fun dessert, so let’s add a little more fun with tricks. Zeki Guzel, the first Turkish ice-cream man in the city says, “I wish I had eaten more ice-creams in winters when I was young, now serving cones with happiness satisfies me. The sale is great despite the season and people get attracted with the unique concept of how I make and serve the ice-creams.”

Ice-cream becomes a cozy food in winters. Rajat Braganza, patisserie chef feels, “In winters people want to have heavier flavours like hazelnut and caramel. This is also the time when you like sharing ice-cream with your loved ones as it doesn’t melt quickly. Ice-creams in winters tend to bring people closer.”
