A high-octane function to release I’m Possible, a book by Dr. Hari Prasad, president of the Apollo Group of Hospitals, detailing the many challenges he faced in life and how he overcame them, saw a galaxy of politicians, top police personnel and sportspersons acknowledging the way the doctor had inspired them.

The book celebrates the life journey of cricketer-turned-doctor Hari Prasad, and chronicles his achievements and milestones, as well as the hurdles on his path and how he overcame them — including the biggest challenge, cancer. Speaking on the occasion, Dr Hari Prasad said, “I’m Possible gives you a comprehensive insight into my life — be it giving up cricket, quitting smoking, fighting leukaemia, managing diabetes or combatting obesity to come down from 115 kg to less than 65 kg.”

The VIPs gathered at a star hotel on Friday evening included Telangana Deputy Chief Minister Mohammed Mahmood Ali, DGP Mahender Reddy, Andhra Pradesh DGP Gautam Sawang, Chairman, Apollo Group, Dr Pratap C. Reddy, former Chief Minister N. Kiran Kumar Reddy and IPS officer C.V. Anand. Members of the author’s family read out excerpts from the book. The proceeds of the book, will be donated to a charitable trust started by Dr. Hari Prasad.
