Hair styling with fire is Russia's new fashion trend

The fashion world can make daring statements everyday. But how far is too far? Now, a current new trend taking over Russia is styling your hair with an open flame.

If you think this concept is so far fetched it can't be true, well here's the video to prove it.

In the video shared by CCTV+, hairstylist Alexander Menshikov said he invented the unusual technique. "It's not merely styling hair with a flame. It's a process of creation. I'm a sculptor and fire is used to cut the unnecessary hairs," he says.

Menshikov assures the technique is safe and the fire is on the clients hair for  about two seconds. Kirill, one of Menshikov's clients says the flames used for styling the hair is "fashionable and beautiful."
