A. Senthil Kumar, a body sculptor by profession and passion as well as one time winner of ‘Mr. India’ title aims at becoming an icon for bodybuilders as he practises the body art as his personal life support system as it were.

He started his bodybuilding career very late — at 27 - and within two years had learnt to focus on men’s physique as bodybuilding sculpture.

Senthil first won accolades at the ‘Mr Tamilnadu’ event held in Rashipuram in Salem district in 2016. He vaulted on to the Mr India (Men’s Physique) held in Punjab in 2017 and went on to win the Mr South India in 2017 when it was held at the Nehru Stadium in Chennai.

“I am grateful to my coach and trainer Vikcy who pushed me hard and inspired me to participate in Mr Tamilnadu, Mr South India and Mr India,” he added while mentioning that recently he also won the overall title in ‘Mr Fashion Rave’ 2018.

An open secret about Snethil’s life is he is also an artist. He started painting as an amateur in ‘Vinnyasa’ under the able supervision of Viji Nageshwaran. “Now along with Mr. Irfan Sahir, I have started the ‘Soul Spice Art Gallery’ which has successfully hosted major art exhibitions of renowned artists,” Senthil shared while talking about his career as a painter. He believes that the human body is the best picture to depict and one has to be dedicated to keep it fit.

The young bodybuilder has also started a career as a model in trying to use his talent in different fields. Friends and family have come out to support him and are still pushing him in his endeavours, especially now that he’s also into making short films and modelling.

“Before fitness became a part of my life, I had started gaining weight and reached a stage where I couldn’t walk for even 15 mins. It then struck me it was high time that I took my fitness lessons. Beginning with jogging, running and various marathon competitions led my life towards the ‘fitness mantra’,” he added.

Senthil’s debut show was ‘Dance till the Dawn’ by F Face creators and Palus Events, on the break of New Year in bare body ramp walk. He said that his recent show was ‘Mr. Bold and Ms. Beautiful’ organised by Karthiban. Among his projects is an album titled ‘Smart ponnu’ that is releasing this month with him as director and music composer and with lyrics by Manikandan and sung by Bhabubali fame singer Deepika.

‘Every day is another chance to get stronger to eat and better to live healthier and to be the best version of you.’ - is the quote that has inspired him always to work on his body.
