Khammam: Woman gives birth to three sons and a daughter

Khammam: A woman gave birth to quadruplets — three boys and a daughter — at a hospital in Khammam on Thursday. This was Ms Shaik Shameena's first pregnancy, and she underwent a Caesarian section. All the four babies and the mother were stated to be healthy according to the hospital authorities.

A native of Jinkalagudem under Kodad mandal in Suryapet district, Ms Shameena works as a labourer. The couple, married three years ago, had approached Dr Nayeema Sultana, a gynaecologist, and was undergoing treatment.   Ms Shameena said, “We are happy with the quadruplets and we will bring them up with care.” She said the family was treating the quadruplets as a gift.
