Mobile apps have made ordering food in from out favourite dining spots super easy.

Now a new app is allowing restaurants to offer customers cheaper prices at off-peak periods, the Daily Mail reported.

When the kitchen isn't busy, you can get a discount up to 50% for bookings on BigDish.

The founder of BigDish is 48-year-old Briton Aidan Bishop, who now lives in the Philippines

"The food-tech sector is a hot space to be in, and our yield management platform is a niche that is gaining traction," Bishop is quoted as saying by the Daily Mail.

Adding, "Companies such as TripAdvisor and Airbnb have made recent investments in young food-tech start-ups and that trend looks likely to continue."

He hopes the app will help companies bring in new customers.
