An Italian firm is trying to change the way we see gyms and even exercise routines. Carlo Ratti Associati has designed a boat that harnesses human energy to sail down the Seine River in Paris.

The Paris Navigating Gym, a 65-feet-long boat, has the capacity to take up a maximum of 45 people at a time. Although, the gym hasn’t left the drawing board stage, its designers estimate it can be completed in 18 months.

This floating gym works by converting pedal power into utility grade electricity. In case there aren’t enough passengers on-board to run the boat, it can still use photovoltaic cells to power through.
