Dancer, Everest Archana Singh Expands Her Cinema Horizons

Actress and trekker Archana Singh is familiar in Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam cinema. The MBA graduate is not just active in films but also takes on daring adventures. This fearless young woman recently proved her mettle by participating in the Everest Base Camp trek in the Himalayas.

After working in Wipro, the ITC Group of Hotels, and serving as an air-hostess with Kingfisher and Jet Airways, Archana made her feature film debut. She appeared in several Kannada and Tamil movies and impressed Telugu audiences with her performance in a film titled Damayanti – Kaushik Varma. Archana is also making her Malayalam debut, which is notably being made in English as well.

"I am a trained classical dancer; I pursue dancing as a passion. I am also fluent in Kannada, Hindi, Urdu, and English, besides possessing a strong command over Telugu and Tamil," she says. "The adrenaline rush of trekking the Everest was unmatched. It gave me the motivation and drive to aim even higher in life," Archana adds.
