This October, that story travels to Hyderabad as Mazzo Rooftop Bar at Marriott Executive Apartments Hyderabad presents Gusto d’Italia, a week-long celebration of Italian cuisine featuring Chef Alessio, Chef at Casa Limone, Renaissance Goa, from 5th to 11th October 2026.
Set against the lively backdrop of Mazzo Rooftop Bar, the experience brings together the warmth of Italian dining with the relaxed spirit of rooftop evenings in Hyderabad. Known for its inviting ambience and elevated setting, Mazzo offers a setting where guests can settle in for an unhurried evening of food, conversation and cocktails, while Chef Alessio’s menu transports them to the flavours of Southern Italy.
At 35, Chef Alessio’s culinary journey has taken him far beyond his hometown. From Ireland and Indonesia to the Netherlands and eventually Goa, each chapter has added to his understanding of food and culture; while his earliest culinary influences remain rooted in the traditions of home. His professional calling truly took shape in the kitchens of Dublin, where an early fascination gradually evolved into a career driven by a genuine appreciation for the craft of cooking.
Today, Chef Alessio’s cuisine brings together these diverse experiences while remaining anchored in the food he grew up with. For Gusto d’Italia, he turns to flavours that feel closest to home, with a menu celebrating his love for slow-cooked meats, hearty stews, spicy pastas and freshly handcrafted pizza doughs. Inspired by memories of his grandmother and the landscapes and food traditions of the Amalfi coast, the menu is an expression of Southern Italian cooking through the lens of a chef who has travelled far but remained connected to his roots.
