Sometimes physical contact like a hug can help brighten up the day.

How about getting a boost from a cow?  A new wellness trend that has become very popular is cow cuddling.

Mountain Horse Farm in New York claims these animals make for great cuddle buddies because of their sensitive nature.

They also claim they "bring relaxation, healing and awareness about (their) body language" to farm-animal enthusiasts, the Metro reported.

"In order to survive in the wild, they had to become masters at reading body language," the farm is quoted as saying by the Metro.

"And when you enter their space, they will read you subtly but with intent, just like they would read any other herd member. They will pick up on what’s going on inside and sense if you are happy, sad, feel lost, anxious or are excited and they will respond to that without judgement, ego or agenda," it further stated.

For two people, the 90-minute session costs $300 (£224). There will also be a licensed counsellor available.

The experience reportedly helps put you at ease, make you more mindful and help you overcome your fears.
