When you get into the zone of working out, you don't want to miss out a day in your routine.

But what happens after a night out of heavy drinking? You’re hungover and want to just lay in bed all day. Or you may feel guilty about not working out.

Well the experts make your decision about that for you. A hangover workout is a bad idea, they say.

"Unfortunately the old adage of 'sweating out a hangover' physiologically doesn’t seem to happen," Ian Streetz, personal trainer at boutique boxing gym Kobox in London told The Independent. "A major problem with a hangover is of dehydration, and by attempting to sweat it out, further dehydration occurs."

Here are some of the issues you could face working out with a hangover:

* Dehydration will make exercising fee more physically draining
* You will get tired more quickly due to low blood sugar
* Your body will ache
* You will feel a lot more nausea

Mila Lazaar, head of HIIT at London-based fitness studio Another_Space, explains how alcohol is digested. "The by-products of breaking down the alcohol in your body is excreted in sweat as a toxin," Lazaar told The Independent. Adding, "This is released in higher concentration if the body is dehydrated, which can lead to cramps, strains and injury."
