Hyderabad: Five organs of a 26-year-old donated

Two kidneys, one liver and two corneas have been donated to the Jeevandan scheme of the government.

Hyderabad: Five organs of a 26-year-old C. Venkat were donated to Jeevandan scheme of the government after he was declared brain dead as a two wheeler hit him from behind.  Venkat who was on his way home was hit by an unidentified vehicle and suffered from a severe head injury. 

His mother Anuradha, who is a cab driver, gave consent for donating Venkat’s organs. Despite opting for treatment at Aware Global Hospital at LB Nagar, there was no recovery and the neuro-physician declared him brain dead.  Two kidneys, one liver and two corneas have been donated to the Jeevandan scheme of the government.
