Burn injuries can leave people in a devastated situation as the suffering and pain is usually followed by permanent scars or marks on the body. But medical science is coming up with more ways to tackle severe skin injuries, and helping people recover faster.

Doctors in the US are using a new way to treat burn injuries with a miraculous skin gun which sprays cells on the wound and new skin develops on the entire area, as it acts as a gentler and quicker option to taking skin from other parts of the body to graft on the burnt part.

Millions of cells are harvested from a very small patch on the person’s body and are sprayed on the damaged area. A victim who had burn injuries on a third of his body found that his body was completely healed in just 20 days after spraying 24 million cells.

Close to 30 people have been helped with this technology as it can also save lives that are often at stake when the injuries are severe and at risk of infections.
