Video: 6-year-old chef from Kerala wows Ellen DeGeneres with traditional 'Puttu'

The young chef is going places two years after he started his own YouTube channel.

Indian cuisine is one of the most diverse and fascinating culinary experiences in the world with strong flavours and irresistible aroma. Chefs from India have also been enchanting foodies across the world with their lip smacking delicacies for the past several years.

One such young chef is 6-year-old Nihal Raj aka Kicha from god’s own country Kerala, who is going places with his culinary skills, two years after he started his own YouTube channel called KichaTube HD.

He became the youngest Indian guest on the Ellen DeGeneres show, and stunned viewers from across the world by cooking Puttu. The traditional breakfast from Kerala, made by steaming rice powder and coconut, was described as “very delicious” by Ellen.

Ellen also shared the video from the episode on her Facebook page and wrote, “This kid is a cutie. He showed me how to cook in his puttu kutti”, and the clip has gone viral with over five lakh views and thousands of shares.
