MULL over your wine

Swedish mulled wine- Margareta’s Julglogg

Ingredients  
 To make five bottles you will need:

  •   Sugar 250 mg
  •   Brandy 200 ml
  •   2 bottles of cheap Red wine and 2 bottles of port wine
  •  1 orange
  •  10 cardamoms
  •  1 cinnamon stick
  •  1 large soup bowl full of boiled and peeled almonds
  •  1 large soup bowl of dark raisins

METHOD

  •  Melt 250 mg sugar in 200 ml brandy on low fire. Don’t let the mixture boil. Just simmer and stir. Once the sugar is fully dissolved, pour  two bottles red wine  and two bottles port wine. Peel an orange and add it to the mixture. Now, add the cloves, cardamoms, cinnamon stick and a bowl full of boiled and peeled almonds and dark raisins.
  •  Now, cook the potion for about two hours on slow fire. Once after it cooks, cool it down and sieve it into jars. Later, pour the mulled wine into your Christmas special bottles and you’re done!
