A cafe in Japan has started selling its customers what could be the fanciest dessert in town – ice cream wrapped in gold leaf. Cafe Hakuichi, which is located in Kanazawa, Japan, has become a hit with people queuing up to buy their fancy cones.

The gold ice cream looks just a classic ice cream cone except for the fact that the ice cream on top has been wrapped in gold leaf. Although the gold leaf is totally edible, it does not have a taste of its own.

Hakuichi launched their special gold leafed ice cream for just $10 recently. The dessert has also become popular on social media with many customer posting pictures of their ice cream cones.
