There is no bride like an Oscar bride - Oscar de la Renta that is.

The fashion house is well known for its signature elegance and romantic artistry and their Spring 2019 bridal collection is no exception.

The brand (under the creative direction of Laura Kim and Fernando Garcia) unveiled a breathtaking range of new designs for the modern day bride, yet remained true to the late designer's original vision – classic, graceful and oh so feminine.

The ODLR team updated traditional bridal looks by constructing each gown with masterful embroidery on quality fabrics.

Almost every gown has a touch of sheer. 3-D blooms, fern and vine embroidery are strategically arranged on the semi-sheer dresses, transparent bustiers and see-through tulle skirts, creating a more ethereal feel than a provocative one.

An unlined V-neck number was covered with exquisite matte floral embroideries, while petal embroideries gracefully drift along the sheer bodice of a long-sleeved gown with a satin skirt. Another gown’s see-through skirt was concealed with tumbling vines.

Getting to float down the isle in an Oscar de la Renta original may not be in your wedding budget, but it can certainly offer inspiration for that special day.
