Weak Southwest Monsoon in Telangana, Light Rains Expected: IMD

 HYDERABAD: The IMD said that the southwest monsoon was weak over the state and there has been a rise in the day temperature but light to moderate rains or thundershowers are likely to occur at isolated places over the week.

As per the Telangana State Planning and Development report, the average rainfall in the state on Sunday was 1 mm, against the normal rainfall of 6 mm. Saloora in Nizamabad received the the state's highest 16 mm rainfall; in the city Patancheru received 2 mm rain

The maximum temperatures are likely to be in the range of 34º to 37º Celsius and the night temperatures at 23ºC to 26ºC. The city could expect hazy mornings and light rains.
