Hyderabad: Green Gold Animation, the force behind India’s most successful homegrown animated franchise Chhota Bheem, proudly announced that its intellectual properties have brought home three major awards at the AnimationXpress ANN Awards 2025, held in Mumbai as part of the Animation & More (AM) Summit. The recognition, achieved in partnership with leading global and domestic collaborators, highlights Green Gold’s growing influence as India’s premier animation studio with global ambitions. The ANN Awards, one of the most coveted platforms for celebrating excellence in animation, featured participation from leading Indian and international studios and was adjudicated by a distinguished jury of global experts, honouring outstanding achievements in creativity, storytelling, music, technology, licensing, and technical artistry.

Green Gold Animation’s franchises secured three wins across marquee categories:

• Best Animated Full-Length Feature Film – Chhota Bheem: Dholakpur to Hawa Hawaii (Produced by Warner Bros. Discovery | Pogo, featuring Green Gold IP)

• Best Title Song – Chhota Bheem in Samay Chakra (Music by Gaurav Malani and Seema Malani)

• Best Storyboard Artist – Chhota Startup: Daadi’s Kitchen Episode (Storyboard by Wackytoon

Studio, based on Green Gold’s IP)

This recognition not only showcases the global resonance of Green Gold’s flagship characters but also validates their commitment to nurturing original Indian stories that travel across mediums and geographies.

Speaking on the achievement, Rajiv Chilaka, Founder & CEO of Green Gold Animation, said, “For more than two decades, Green Gold has been at the forefront of redefining animation in India. To see our Ips - from Chhota Bheem’s epic adventures to newer narratives like Chhota Startup - celebrated at the ANN Awards alongside global heavyweights is a testament to the creativity, resilience, and passion of our teams and partners. Animation is no longer confined to just entertainment; it is culture, it is storytelling, and it is India’s soft power on the global stage. These wins motivate us to dream bigger as we march towards our goal of becoming India’s answer to Disney.”

The win for Chhota Startup shows Green Gold’s ability to innovate and diversify its portfolio. With Chhota Startup, the studio expands beyond mythology - inspired storytelling to contemporary, humorous, and relatable narratives that reflect the entrepreneurial spirit of today’s India. The ANN Awards also spotlight Green Gold’s collaborative spirit and strong industry partnerships.

Warner Bros. Discovery brought world-class scale and distribution to Chhota Bheem: Dholakpur to Hawa Hawaii, Writers infused musical brilliance into Chhota Bheem in Samay Chakra, and Wackytoon Studios delivered exceptional visual storytelling in Chhota Startup. While the core IPs - Chhota Bheem and Chhota Startup - originate from Green Gold’s creative ecosystem, these wins are a shared victory that celebrate the talent, innovation, and passion of their esteemed partners who help elevate Indian animation onto the global stage.

As Green Gold celebrates this victory, the studio remains committed to expanding its presence across feature films, digital streaming, merchandising, gaming, and experiential platforms. With an ambitious roadmap that includes theatrical releases, retail stores, immersive experience centres, anda planned IPO by 2028, Green Gold is positioning itself as a global IP powerhouse from India.
