Bengaluru: Venkatappa Art Gallery forum would hold a three-day ‘Art Marathon’, from Monday. Elaborating on this Suresh Kumar, an artist, said the forum has never tried this earlier. The span of each  day would be distributed among curators, artists and performers, who would get 45 minutes to showcase their works.

“So for each slot there would be work on the wall, on a monitor, floor space and also a stage space for performing artistes. Hence we are covering painters, sculptors, artists, poets, theatre persons in 45 minute span. So one can experience so many facades of art in a short time,” Suresh said.

The concept is closely linked to the structure and execution of this ‘exhibition’: Each day the action starts at 11am and ends at 7 pm. The day is divided into 9 slots, each slot will show 4 or 5 artists at a time including one live or action artistes or video/sound artistes.
