Three decades later, same cast!

For the first time in the history of Indian cinema, a film, which was made 34 years ago, is being remade with the original lead actors. Yes, the hit Tamil film Manal Kayiru, which had actor-writer-director Visu, S. Ve. Shekher, and Kuriakose Ranga as the leads, is getting a revamp with the actors reprising their roles in Manal Kayiru 2 as well!

The film went on floors recently. While Ashwin Shekar plays the son of S. Ve. Shekher, Poorna has been roped in as Ranga’s daughter. Shekher pens the screenplay for Visu’s story and Madan Kumar of Yaaruda Mahesh fame wields the megaphone.
