Hyderabad: The letter to `Daddy’ by BRS leader K. Kavitha might make for a good OTT (over-the top) family drama, titled `The arrow released by Congress (Congress Vadilina Banam)’, observed Union minister of State for Home Bandi Sanjay. He alleged that the Congress and the BRS had miserably failed to deliver in Telangana and were now together blaming the BJP.

In a statement, Sanjay claimed that the BJP always stood against family rule, whether it was by the Gandhis or the Kalvakuntlas. “Family parties always try to turn their personal crisis into public emotions. The BJP never sends people to jail. But the law does, in BJP-ruled states and the Centre. Under the BJP rule, if someone is guilty, nothing can save them,” he said.

Stating that every survey showed that the BJP’s graph was rising in the state with solid people’s trust, Sanjay said that the undercurrent in favour of the BJP was real. “People want real change and development, not political family drama . BJP is going to be that change,” he said.

BJP Medak MP M. Raghunandan Rao wondered whether the letter to `Daddy’ written by Kavitha, was a political dispute or a property dispute. “Irrespective of Kavitha’s letter, it is an open fact that the BJP is strengthening day by day in Telangana. The BRS plenary at Warangal exposed the hereditary political rift in KCR family. The latest developments of BRS leader KTR meeting Harish Rao also gave a clear signal that `Bava- Bammardi’ (brother-in laws) have united to kick out Kavitha from the party. Kavitha appears to be a Sharmila of Telangana, in making, he said.

Raghunandan Rao suspected that Kavitha may likely join the Congress and that Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy was behind the episode. “Whatever the political developments and consequences, the BJP is going to form government in the next Assembly elections and no one can stop it,” he said.

BJP senior leader and core committee member Ponguleti Sudhakar Reddy said that the timing and content of Kavitha’s letter suggest a coordinated attempt by the BRS and Congress to malign the BJP, which is fast emerging as a major force. The letter came at a time when the BRS leadership was facing intense scrutiny, with multiple allegations of corruption and legal cases against key family members, including those who are out on bail. From scam to smear campaigns, the BRS-Congress alliance is attacking BJP to shield their own corruption, said Sudhakar Reddy.

BJP chief spokesperson N.V. Subash accused the BRS and the Congress of staging a `shadow fight’ to mislead voters, by asserting that only the BJP offered real governance and development. Calling the BRS a “in meltdown,” he said Kavitha’s public outburst only exposed its internal decay. “The people are done with dynastic politics and corruption. They’re ready for a clean BJP government,” he said.
