Karnataka State Law University Confers Honorary Doctorate On Andhra Guv

VIJAYAWADA: The Karnataka State Law University (KSLU) conferred the Honorary Degree of Doctor of Laws (LL.D.) on Justice S. Abdul Nazeer, Governor of Andhra Pradesh, during its 7th Convocation held at the Farmer’s Knowledge Centre, University of Agricultural Sciences, Dharwad, Karnataka, on Wednesday.
The honorary degree was presented to Governor Abdul Nazeer by Thaawar Chand Gehlot, Governor of Karnataka and Chancellor of KSLU. Dr. H.K. Patil, Minister for Law, Justice, Parliamentary Affairs and Legislation, and Pro-Chancellor of the University, attended the ceremony as Guest of Honour, while Prof. Dr. C. Basavaraju, Vice-Chancellor of KSLU, presided over the event.
Dr. Justice Shivaraj V. Patil, former Judge of the Supreme Court of India and Chairman of the Karnataka State Border and River Protection Commission, delivered the Convocation Address as the Chief Guest.
In his acceptance speech, Governor Abdul Nazeer expressed his gratitude to the Karnataka State Law University for conferring the Doctor of Laws degree upon him, describing it as “a great honour and a humbling recognition” of his contributions to the field of law and public service.
