APECET in Andhra Pradesh and Hyderabad today

Anantapur: APECET-2021 will be held across the State and in Hyderabad on Sunday.

Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Anantapur is the mentor university for this year’s APECET, which is for polytechnic students aspiring to take admissions in engineering colleges.

JNTUA vice-chancellor Prof. G. Ranga Janardhan and APECET convenor Prof. C. Sashidhar said that the entrance test will be held in 48 regional centres covering all districts and in two centres in Hyderabad.

Around 34,271 students have applied for the entrance test. However, in view of the Covid-19 protocol, only 25, 000 students can be accommodated in the centres, Janardhan said. The morning session of the test will begin at 9 am while the afternoon session will start at 3 pm.

A majority of the candidates are from the mechanical engineering division followed by electrical and electronics streams.

The preliminary key will be released on September 23 and the results will be declared on October 1, the vice-chancellor said.
