HPS unveils vision 2050

HYDERABAD: Hyderabad Public School (HPS) Begumpet, which will be starting its centenary celebrations in January 2023, unveiled the School Vision 2050 and long-term infrastructure plans on Friday.

According to a release, the Hyderabad Public School Society and its board of governors hosted an exclusive curtain raiser for the event. This was followed by a detailed presentation on the HPS ‘Vision & Mission 2050’. The society has prepared a road map for the further development of its four schools, one each at Begumpet, Ramanthapur, Kadapa and Warangal, over the next three decades.

Over 300 distinguished alumni attended a formal dinner and pledged their support, promised to participate and assist their alma mater with time, talent and resources.

Some of the prominent alumni present at the dinner were former Union minister Ashok Gajapati Raju, former MP Konda Vishweshwar Reddy and Hari Buggana, Chairman and MD of InvAscent.

Video messages of commitment of active participation as well as an appeal to all other alumni to come forward and contribute towards the execution of the school’s long term vision was made by prominent alumni such as Adobe CEO Shantanu Narayan, Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella, Sriram Panchu, senior advocate at the Madras High Court, commentator Harsha Bhogle, Shailesh Jejurikar COO, Procter & Gamble, film actor Nagarjuna, retired IFS officer Syed Akbaruddin and Prabhu Pingali Chairman, Icrisat, and others.

Speaking at the event Dr Madhav Deo Saraswat, Principal of The Hyderabad Public School, Begumpet, said “The school needs a new impetus backed by a new approach, new thinking, and of course necessary resources as we enter the centennial year. I invite the alumni to participate and engage with the school so as to efficiently meet the audacious plans set out in the Vision 2050.”
