"Every battle is fought in a different way. It is a cat and mouse game, and you have to be ahead of the game to beat your adversary. We were prepared, trained, and equipped for it," says Air Marshal.

Carrier Battle Group's Air Defense Capability

The Carrier Battle Group, supported by its air wing, forms the first line of defense. Highly trained pilots operate both day and night, ensuring no hostile aircraft can approach the group. The presence of MiG-29K fighters and early warning helicopters has effectively kept any suspicious or enemy aircraft at bay, preventing them from coming within several hundred kilometers of the group.

Comprehensive Aerial Defense System

The system covers all threats, from drones to high-speed missiles and aircraft, enhancing both fighters and surveillance aircraft. Using advanced radars, the fleet maintains a surveillance bubble, detecting and identifying aerial targets beyond the expected attack range. India’s Air Defence and Border Security Forces Thwart Pakistan’s Drone and UAV Attacks

If you look at Pakistan's airfields, you will see that, as highlighted in Air Marshal Bharti’s presentation, our airfields remain fully operational. Additionally, Pakistan's drone and weaponized UAV attempts were neutralized by our air defence systems. Even the remaining drones were shot down by our shoulder-fired weapons. I want to praise our Border Security Forces, from the Director General to the last soldier stationed on the border, who courageously supported this operation. Their ground-based air systems were integral to our air defence grid, which effectively thwarted Pakistan’s malicious actions. As the saying goes, "When the will is strong, the destination is inevitable."

India's military response has been described as overwhelming and punitive, with significant damage inflicted on Pakistan’s infrastructure. The runway at Nur Khan Air Base was completely destroyed, highlighting the intensity of India's retaliation in response to ongoing provocations.

India’s Preemptive Air Defence Foiled Pakistan’s Nighttime Strikes

We had full anticipation that Pakistan’s attack would come from across the border, so we had fully prepared our air defence in advance. A unique integration of countermeasures, aerial systems, electronic warfare tools, and air defence weapons was done with Indian Air Force systems. That’s why, during the Pakistani Air Force’s heavy attacks on our airfields and logistics installations on the nights of the 9th and 10th, their attempts failed against our air defence shield — which is also displayed here for your understanding.
