Government watchdog CCPA has issued notices to 13 e-commerce players like Amazon and Flipkart for illegal sale of walkie-talkie devices on their platforms, which could raise security concerns at a time of military conflict between India and Pakistan. In an official statement on Friday, the government said the Central Consumer Protection Authority (CCPA) has issued 13 notices to leading digital marketplaces against the illegal listing and sale of walkie-talkies on e-commerce platforms.

India's Ambassador to Nepal Naveen Srivastava called on Prime Minister K P Sharma Oli on Friday and briefed him about the latest development related to the India-Pakistan tension in the aftermath of the Pahalgam terror attack. Woman officer in Pakistan arrested for criticising army, govt in WhatsApp group

A woman government officer in Pakistan was arrested on Friday for criticising the Pakistan Army and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif-led government in a WhatsApp group, amid the military conflict with India.

According to the FIR, the National Cyber Crime Agency has booked and arrested National Database Registration Authority (NADRA) officer Hina Sheikh for passing derogatory remarks about the Pakistan Army (for its role in military conflict with India) and government of Pakistan in a WhatsApp group under sections 20, 24, 24(A), 26A of the Prevention of Electronic Crimes Act (PECA).

Amid a military flare-up between India and Pakistan in the wake of Operation Sindoor, Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann on Friday said there was no need to panic and urged people not to give credence to rumours.

Govt warns traders against hoarding of essential food items, says adequate stocks available

Amid escalating tensions between India and Pakistan, Union Food and Consumer Affairs Minister Pralhad Joshi on Friday warned traders, wholesalers and retailers against hoarding of essential food items and asserted that the government has ample stocks.

"Don't believe in propaganda messages regarding food stocks in the country. We have ample food stocks, far exceeding required norms. DONT PAY HEED TO SUCH MESSAGES," he said in a social media post.
