Suspicious movement near camp in Nagrota
An army trooper opened fire after observing suspicious movement outside a camp in high-security Nagrota area on Saturday evening, an official said and added a massive search operation was underway to secure the area. Two persons were found suspiciously moving near the camp, drawing suspicions of the alert sentry, who opened fire after they ignored a warning to stop.
The persons fled, and a search operation was launched.
India confirms ceasefire violation
Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri condemns ceasefire violations. "Our forces have been instructed to hit back strongly if there is any violation. The Indian army has been given a free hand to respond," Misri said.
Pakistani drones, 12 of them, have been shot down in Gujarat's Kandla, Bhuj, and Lakki Nala.
The Gujarat government is closely monitoring the situation.

Pakistan has violated the bilateral understanding reached this afternoon to immediately stop all firings and military actions on land, air and sea, government sources said on Saturday night.This came hours after India announced the understanding following four days of intense cross-border drone and missile strikes that brought the two countries teetering on the edge of full scale war.
The sources said firing from the Pakistani side was reported in Akhnoor sector in Jammu and Kashmir. Drones were also seen in the Pir Panjal area.

BSF Trooper Killed, Seven Injured in Pak Shelling
A BSF trooper was killed and seven others were injured in Pakistani firing along the International Border in Jammu on Saturday, officials said. The incident took place in the R S Pura sector, they said.
A senior Border Security Force (BSF) officer said sub-inspector Mohammed Imteyaz made the supreme sacrifice while gallantly leading from the front.
He, along with seven others, were injured in cross-border firing initiated by Pakistan.
