Four injured as crude bombs explode near temple in Andhra Pradesh

The police have registered a case and further investigation is on.

Ongole: Two country-made bombs exploded near Polleramma temple at Bachuvaripalem in Prakasam district on Sunday injuring four persons.

"Some villagers spotted an unattended parcel lying just outside the temple in the afternoon and tried to open it which led to the explosion," Jayaramaraju the Sub-Divisional Officer of Police, Chirala said.

Four persons were injured among whom the condition of one identified as B Srinivas Rao (40) is stated to be serious and was shifted to Guntur government hospital, the Sub-Divisional Officer of Police said.

Bomb disposal squad was rushed to the spot, Jayaramaraju said, adding a case has been registered by Vetapalem police and further investigation is on.
