HYDERABAD: RSS sarkaryavah Dattatreya Hosabale praised the Bharatiya Mazdoor Sangh (BMS) as an organisation of the working class, while inaugurating its state office here on Thursday. "BMS reached this position not because of buildings, but through selfless service to the country, workers, and employees," Hosabale stated.
The trade union had emerged as the number one organisation in the world through sincere struggles and sacrifices for the working class, he said while speaking at an event organised by the Vishwakarma Seva Samiti and the BMS.
Union minister G. Kishan Reddy, Union minister of state Bandi Sanjay Kumar, BJP Telangana president N. Ramchander Rao, Haryana former Governor Bandaru Dattatreya and others also took part in the meeting.
Hosabale urged ongoing training for activists, studying new labour laws at all levels, and expanding BMS's reach beyond physical offices to ideological heights. He said it was not enough that only national level leaders studied trade laws and policies, Hosabale asked BMS workers to examine the trade laws introduced by the Centre.
RSS akhil Bharatiya karyakarini member Bhagayya likened the new building to a home built through workers' sweat and savings, without relying on government funds. BMS organisation secretary Surendran noted the role of 5,836 affiliated unions and Telugu states' role in past membership drives. BMS president Hiramayi Pandya called the office inspirational, boosting activists' responsibilities.
