Yearender 2016: Indian cricket's journey to No. 1

India may not have played any Tests till June, but their massive performances since then have helped propel them to the top.

With a long home season, comprising of 13 Tests, to look forward to, India secured the three-match home Test series against New Zealand with a 178-run victory over the Kiwis.
