Villagers decamp with cots, stools at Rahul Gandhi's public meet in UP

Locals in Mirzapur broke into fights over ' khats' and within seconds ran way with all the cots from the venue.

Moments after Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi's public meeting ended in Mirzapur, locals decamped with cots and stools at the venue.
But some locals said that Congress party workers had told them they would get free cots and shirts after the event.
The locals were seen running away with cots from the venue, despite announcements made by organisers to leave the cots.

While many farmers were seen patiently sitting on the cots at the event, the minute Rahul left the venue, people started running away with the cots and stools from the venue.
Rahul is currently leading a 2,500 km-long Kisan Yatra in UP in a bid to boost the party's vote count.
