Menstrual Hygiene Day: 'Pad Man' Akshay still going all out for cause

On Instagram, he shared this picture and wrote, “Menstrual Hygiene is every woman's need and right. Very inspiring to meet these 9 Pad Heroes who have been diligently working towards bridging the menstrual hygiene gap from #18to82 at @niinemovement Menstrual Hygiene Conclave yesterday. #NotAllHeroesWearCapes.”

The event was held for the Niine Movement, which aims to bridge the gap between 18 per cent women in the country who use sanitary pads to 82 per cent of those who do not.
Akshay was at his animated best during the event, unlike his character from Pad Man, based on Arunachalam Muruganatham.
The superstar, who has been shooting for his period drama Kesari', looked dapper on arrival for the event.
