Mira was rushed to the hospital on Thursday evening and reports suggest that Shahid was by her side the entire day.
The bonny baby was born at Hinduja Hospital, Mumbai and though a premature, the child was born through normal delivery and weighs 2.8 kg .
Pankaj Kapoor and Supriya Pathak also were spotted by their daughter-in-law's side.
Minutes after him tweeting the news, Twitter was abuzz with wishes from friends and fans.
The actor became the proud father of a baby girl on Saturday.
