Vijayashanti Bags Rs 4 Crore for Arjun S/o Vyjayanthi, Hits Back at Trolls
Lady Superstar Becomes Highest-Paid Senior Actress, Slams Online Negativity
Veteran actress Vijayashanti has reportedly bagged a whopping Rs 4 crore for her role in Arjun Son Of Vyjayanthi, making her the highest-paid senior actress in the industry. “Vijayashanti commands top billing for her vast experience and unmatched talent,” revealed a source. In comparison, other senior actresses like Tabu, Sukanya, and Kushboo, who also portray mother roles, typically earn between Rs 1 crore and Rs 1.5 crore. “She stands tall above her contemporaries,” the source added.
In Arjun Son Of Vyjayanthi, Vijayashanti plays a principled cop and strict mother to Kalyanram’s character. At a recent promotional event, the “Lady Superstar” didn’t mince words as she addressed online trolls spreading negativity about the film.
“The box office collections are rising every day, and more women are coming to theatres to support Arjun S/o Vyjayanthi,” she said. “Yet, some individuals are deliberately trying to disrupt the film’s success. This kind of sadistic behavior is unacceptable. Producers are investing crores, and every actor and technician is giving their all. Spreading negativity not only disrespects that effort—it hurts the entire industry.”
She urged critics to reconsider their actions: “If you don’t like a film, simply stay away. But don’t try to tear it down. I’m warning those indulging in such negativity—support cinema with a good heart. Let’s uplift, not destroy.”
She isn’t alone. Earlier, stars like Chiranjeevi and music director Thaman also voiced concern over toxic social media behavior, especially on platforms like Twitter and Instagram. They urged fans to avoid belittling rival films and help protect the integrity of the Telugu film industry.
