Veteran Lyricist Siva Shakthi Datta Is No More

Siva Shakthi Datta, a well-known lyricist and screenwriter, is no more. His son, MM Keeravani, is a prominent composer in the film industry. He is also related to the star director SS Rajamouli and is the elder brother of the Baahubali screenwriter Vijayendra Prasad. He was 93.

In his later years, Datta wrote songs for films made by Rajamouli. Among them are the two Baahubali movies and RRR. He also wrote for Sye and Chatrapathi. HanuMan is among the last films for which he wrote songs. Since he was well-versed in Sanskrit, many filmmakers used to prefer him for specific lyrics.

In an interview a couple of years ago, when asked about the secret of his health, he stated that he hadn't fully realized his life ambitions.
