Uncertainty Looms Over Akhanda 2 Streaming Date as Netflix Removes Listing

Akhanda 2 was expected to be released on Netflix on January 9, 2026. While the streaming giant has acquired the film’s digital rights, they have not yet made an official announcement regarding the premiere date.

The speculation began when the film appeared in the platform's search results, leading many viewers to believe it would premiere this Friday. However, Akhanda 2 has since been removed from the catalogue, suggesting that the OTT release may be postponed. As of now, neither the makers nor Netflix have officially confirmed a delay.

In December 2025, the film's theatrical release got delayed by a week. And now, the OTT release, too, might have hit a temporary road block.

Marking the fourth collaboration between Nandamuri Balakrishna and director Boyapati Srinu, the film has already been declared a box office hit. The cast includes Aadhi Pinisetty, Kabir Duhan Singh, Harshaali Malhotra, and Saswata Chatterjee in prominent roles. The project is produced by Raam Achanta and Gopi Achanta.
