Working With Nargis Fakhri was a Good Experience: Director Thrinadha Rao
The director also revealed that the makers are exploring a Hindi release for Nenu Ready
Director Thrinadha Rao Nakkina has heaped praise on Bollywood actress Nargis Fakhri, who has joined Tollywood for a special song in Nenu Ready, starring Havish.
Nargis, known for films such as Rockstar, Madras Cafe, Azhar, and Housefull 3, makes her Telugu debut with the special track. “I watched her in Rockstar and always wanted to work with her, but it happened only now,” said Thrinadha Rao. “We explained the concept of the song to her, and she agreed to make her debut in Tollywood. We shot the number on a specially erected set at RFC along with foreign dancers. She worked for a couple of days and impressed us with her dance moves and expressions. It has turned out to be one of the special highlights of our film,” he added.
The director also revealed that the makers are exploring a Hindi release for Nenu Ready. “The film has a comic flavor similar to the Housefull franchise, and discussions are underway with the producers regarding a Hindi release,” he said.
Speaking about special songs in films, Thrinadha Rao felt the terminology itself should change. “With leading actresses and celebrities taking up these songs and elevating their appeal, the term ‘item number’ should be done away with,” he stated.
He further disclosed that he would like to team up with her again. "I was highly impressed with her work and would love to cast her in a full-fledged role in the future. I’m confident she will receive more offers in Tollywood after this film,” he concluded.
Thrinadha Rao previously delivered hits like Nenu Local starring Nani and Dhamaka featuring Ravi Teja.
