Venkatesh Built a Reputation for Multi-Starrers: Dolly
Venkatesh has shared screen space with several top stars, including Mahesh Babu in Seethamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu and more recently with Megastar Chiranjeevi in Mana Sankara Varaprasad Garu (MSVG).
Seasoned actor Venkatesh has emerged as one of the biggest pillars of the multi-starrer trend in Telugu cinema. His latest collaboration with Nandamuri Kalyan Ram in director Anil Ravipudi’s upcoming entertainer has once again reinforced the belief that multi-hero films can work successfully in Tollywood.
Director Kishore Kumar Pardasani (Dolly), who directed Gopala Gopala starring Venkatesh and Pawan Kalyan, believes that Venkatesh has played a key role in encouraging the genre. “Multi-starrers are a welcome change for Telugu cinema. Venkatesh has built a reputation for embracing such films because he always prioritizes the character and the script over everything else. He gives his best regardless of screen time, and that is his biggest strength,” says Dolly.
According to Dolly, his versatility is what makes him such a valuable actor in multi-starrer projects. “He can handle both emotional and comic scenes with remarkable ease. His versatility allows him to fit seamlessly into any narrative,” he explains.
Over the years, Venkatesh has shared screen space with several top stars, including Mahesh Babu in Seethamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu and more recently with Megastar Chiranjeevi in Mana Sankara Varaprasad Garu (MSVG).
“Venkatesh is a director’s actor who brings positive energy to the set. He is friendly, approachable, and makes everyone comfortable. Whether he is acting alongside Chiranjeevi, Mahesh Babu, or Pawan Kalyan, he manages to leave a strong impression and earns respect for his performance,” Dolly notes.
At a time when film budgets are escalating rapidly and recovering investments has become increasingly challenging, Dolly feels that multi-starrers could offer a practical solution for the industry.
“With production costs rising, I hope more leading actors come together for multi-starrers. Such films not only excite audiences but also make projects safer and more secure for producers and the industry as a whole,” he concludes.
